Our client is a residential multifamily building in the heart of Greenwich Village in Manhattan. Efficiti got engaged to provide a new heating/cooling system as well as new central water heating plant for the building.
Some of the challenges the building currently faces:
Building uses electric baseboards that do not provide sufficient heating in the winter
The electric baseboards are an inefficient way of heating leading to high electricity costs for the owners and their tenants.
Building also has an energy score of "D" which is the lowest letter grade.
The Solution:
Efficiti has designed:
a new VRF heat recovery system to provide efficient heating and cooling for the entire building.
an efficient central heat pump water heating system with brand new hot water distribution piping.
We are also taking advantage of utility and state incentive programs for the client to cover some of the project costs.
